Dr. Deela Dicello grew up in Montgomery County, MD and stayed local for undergrad graduating with a B.S in Animal Sciences from University of Maryland - College Park (Go Terps!).
She then continued there to finish a Masters of Education and taught middle school for a few years. She graduated vet school from University of Minnesota in 2021. Prior to attending vet school, she had worked in vet med for several years. Her animal work and volunteer experiences include racehorses, living remotely in the Canadian bush doing bat research, and working with livestock and other wildlife (including with farmers and hunters).
In the clinic, Dr. Dicello's interests are palliative care and pain management, diagnostic imaging, pharmacology, and client education. She enjoys working with clients to provide quality care that is feasible for owners and their pets. She has two hilarious cats of her own that she adopted from a rescue after treating their litter. She lives nearby and enjoys spending time with her big family and friends. You can catch her out in the wild foraging, playing bar trivia, or at a concert/music festival.
